Ray M. Hess

Ray M. Hess, 83, of 116 Horizon Court Manheim passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Lancaster General Hospital. Born in East Hempfield Township, he was the son of the late Walter and Elsie Beamesdefer Hess. He was the husband of Beatrice Bricker Hess and they would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in May of this year. Ray worked for over 15 years at Fabral Corporation, Lancaster. A member of Silver Spring Baptist Church, Columbia; Ray was also a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 43 F&AM, Lancaster, High Twelve Club No. 687, Lancaster and the Valley of Harrisburg. He enjoyed and followed the Shepherds Chapel and wrestling on TV.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two brothers, Lester husband of Edith Hess of Lebanon, Elwood Hess of Manheim and one sister, Arlene wife of Frank Hoxworth of East Petersburg.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Memorial Service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square Manheim on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Lee Damon officiating. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
