Paul G. Nolt, 80, of Mount Joy, died peacefully at home and went to be with his Lord and Savior, following a lengthy illness on Saturday, September 7, 2013. Born in Upper Leacock Township, he was the son of the late Lester O. and Nora Good Nolt. Paul was the loving husband of Arlene Martin Nolt and they observed their 57th wedding anniversary in March of this year. For over 37 years he was a dedicated dairy farmer. Paul worked part time for the Manheim Auto Auction for 42 years. He also enjoyed his work in steaming and custom silo filling. He was a faithful member of the East Petersburg Mennonite Church, and served as treasurer of his Sunday school class. Paul enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Ronald, husband of Brenda Fenninger Nolt, of Manheim, Leslie, husband of Pamela Ranck Nolt, of Mount Joy, a daughter, Carol, wife of Clifford Martin, of Stevens, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers: Ben, husband of Diane Nolt, of LeRoy, MN., Mark Nolt of Warrensburg, MO., two sisters: Esther, wife of John Mast, of Red Lake, Ontario, Dottie, wife of Tim Weber, of East Petersburg. Preceding him in death is a son, Jimmy Nolt, two brothers: David and John Nolt, and two sisters: Miriam and Ruth Nolt.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Paul’s funeral service at the East Petersburg Mennonite Church, 6279 Main Street, East Petersburg, on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing at the church on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing time on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
