Paul G. Helm Jr., 74, of Manheim passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Paul G. Sr. and Ruth Hilt Helm. He was the loving husband of Jeanette M. Sawadsky Helm and they would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on October 6, 2017. After thirty years, Paul retired as a customer service manager at Canteen Vending Services, Lancaster. He graduated from Hempfield High School in 1962. Paul was an active and faithful member of St. Richard Catholic Church, Manheim where he was involved with social outreach services. He was a member of the Dutch Country Riders, York and volunteered for the Manheim Food Pantry and Farm Show. Paul enjoyed riding motorcycles, helping others and he loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Ann-Renee wife of Allen Ault Jr. of Pequea, Angela wife of David Forwood of Manheim, Christopher Helm and partner Matthew Daniels of Leola; six grandchildren, Austin, Aaron, Laura, Luke, Lucas, Chloe, a great granddaughter, Keira; and six siblings, Ruth wife of Dominic Roda, Beverly wife of Everett Wiseman both of Columbia, Timothy husband of Nancy Helm of Lancaster, Thomas Helm of Colorado, Jeanne wife of Gary Farrell of New York, and Stephen husband of Donna Helm of Columbia.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Richard Catholic Church, 110 North Oak Street, Manheim on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township.
