Paul E. "Shirky" Shirk

 Paul E. “Shirky” Shirk, 73, of Manheim passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at UPMC, Lititz. Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Strohm Shirk. He was the loving husband of Dana Ringler Shirk and they would have observed their 16th wedding anniversary next month. Shirky was a driver for the Manheim Auto Auction. In his earlier years, he owned and operated the former Shirky’s Grocery Store, Lititz. Shirky was a member of the Hideaway Dart Team, Lititz and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

 Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Daryl Shaak, Dustin and Christopher Paul Shirk and a daughter, Elizabeth Shirk; nine grandchildren, one great granddaughter and five siblings, Marie Arlene Engle, Patricia Helen Gebhard, Warren Leroy Shirk, Barbara Ann Shenigo and Mahlon Richard Shirk. He was preceded in death by four siblings, Josephine Ella, Harvey Michael Shirk, Carl Irvin Shirk and Jane Louise Mumma.

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Shirky’s Memorial Service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Shirky’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
