Patricia A. English, 83, formerly of Mount Joy, went home to be with her Lord & Savior, Monday September 28, 2015 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, where she was a resident. She was the widow of the late Ray A. English who died in 1997. Born in Clearfield, PA she was the daughter of the late Martin Luther and Regina Mae (Hummel) Williams. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School class of 1951. Pat was a cook at the former Seiler Elementary School in Mount Joy for 13 years. She was a faithful member of Mount Joy Church of God, and was part of the Church of God Seniors (C.O.G.S.), the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, and the Church of God Women’s Ministries. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bainbridge Fire Dept. Her other interest included needlework, quilting, and crocheting.
Surviving is a daughter Carol E. Brooks of Mount Joy; four grandchildren Joleen Levering of Lexington, KY, Malinda wife of Jason Hess of Lancaster, Ashlee wife of Christopher Hostetter of Lancaster, Travis English of Elizabethtown; two great-grandchildren Carlee and Colton Hostetter; and two brothers Darl husband of Sally Williams of Bainbridge and Malcolm husband of Mary Williams of Wallaceton, Pa. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Gary and Martin English; three brothers Ronald, John, and Melvin Williams; and a sister Kathryn Smeal.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Mount Joy Church of God, 30 E. Main St., Mount Joy PA on Friday October 2, 2015 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Camp Hill Cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St. Mount Joy, on Thursday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, and also on Friday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
