Pamela M. Wood, 71, of Lititz, PA passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Ephrata Community Hospital. The daughter of the late Jonas H. and Phyllis A. Morse Wood, Pam was born in Norristown and lived in Manheim for 20 years before moving to Lititz.
Pam graduated from Ambler High School and attended The University of Colorado, Boulder, CO. She earned her Master’s Degree in Urban Regional Development from The University of Illinois, in Champaign-Urbana.
Through the years, Pam’s career in office administration included owning a wood stove business in Colorado, working for a construction company, the Lititz Record Express and as an Customer Service Coordinator for Certified Carpet in Lancaster.
Pam was a member of Civil Air Patrol, the Order of the Eastern Star and Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim, where she was a lay reader and sang in the choir.
She was a caring friend to many, and was loved much in return. Pam had a passion for gardening and flowers, making spring her favorite season. An avid reader and Denver Broncos fan, she also enjoyed painting with watercolors and was an animal lover.
She is survived by a brother, Terry Wood, Newport, WA: daughter, Christie, wife of Jim Peterson, and their daughter, Anara of Highlands Ranch, CO; a daughter, Cyndi Root of Boulder, CO; and a son, Bill Robinson, of Collegeville, PA and his sons, Matt and Tim, and Bill’s girlfriend Kristine, and her daughters, Alex and Lily.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Donations in memory of Pam may be made to the Lancaster Humane League of Lancaster, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
