Nora H. Gebhard, 88, of 718 Farmingdale Road, Lancaster, died peacefully Saturday January 23, 2010 at her residence. She was the widow of Herbert F. Gebhard who died in 2007. Born in Rapho Twp. She was the daughter of the late William F. Sr. and Josephine (Dickel) Hornberger.
Nora was a piece worker at the former Raymark Industries of Manheim for 38 years before retiring. She was also a former Avon sales representative for 20 years. She enjoyed country music, cooking, and baking.
Surviving are four grandchildren, Roy M. husband of Tammie Eckert of Lancaster, Ray husband of Andrea Eckert of Lancaster, Nora Jean wife of Richard Fisher of Lancaster, Billie Lowe of East Petersburg; thirteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; two brothers John H. Hornberger, Sr. and Clyde E. husband of Beatrice Pat Hornberger, both of Manheim; two sisters Elsie Stasko of Lebanon and Ellen Jean Palmer of Manheim. She was preceded in death by her daughter Doris L. Erb; and two brothers David S. Hornberger and William F. Hornberger, Jr.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service form the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim PA on Thursday January 28, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jon L. Shiery officiating. Interment will be in Chiques Church of the Brethren Cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, on Wednesday from 6:00 8:00 P.M., and also on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
