Nelson H. "Tommy" Collins Jr.

Nelson H. Tommy Collins Jr., 55 of Manheim, died peacefully at the Ephrata Community Hospital on Monday, August 9, 2010.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Nelson H. and Janet Peck Collins. Nelson was a 1973 graduate of Manheim Central High School, and was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Manheim, where he volunteered his time providing general maintenance in his early years. His interests included following the Philadelphia Phillies Baseball Team and the Penn State Nittany Lions Football Team. Surviving is a sister, Sharon R. Collins of Manheim.

A public memorial service will be held at the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 48 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeffrey C. Schell officiating. Interment is in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Rapho Township. Friends may visit at the church on Friday afternoon from 1:30 PM until the time of the service. The Buch Funeral Home Manheim is in charge of arrangements.
