Naomi M. Yarnall, 82, of Columbia PA, formerly of Bucks County, died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the residence of her son. Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Mary (Lomas) Verschelde. She was the wife of the late Larry Spurrier, Kenneth E. Lawrence, and John Yarnall. Naomi was an accomplished pianist and accordion player, and used her talents to entertain for the USO, and the WFIL Children’s Hour. She also played in the “Billie Holiday” band and the former Phil Spitalny and His All-Girl Orchestra. Naomi attended Emilie United Methodist Church in Levittown. Her interests in addition to music were interior decorating and shopping.
Surviving is a daughter Connie, wife of Michael Ryan of White Haven, PA; five sons Larry, husband of Kathy Spurrier of Levittown, Robert, husband of Teresa Spurrier of Upper Makefield Township, Kenneth, husband of Patricia Lawrence of Columbia, Jonathan Lawrence of Hazelton, Darren Lawrence of Columbia; twelve grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert S Spurrier.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at Emilie United Methodist Church, 7300 New Falls Road, Levittown 19057, on Monday, November 4, 2013, at 7:00 PM. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 6:00 PM until the time of the service.
