Naomi A. Nolt, 92, of Mount Joy went home to be with her Lord on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Oak Leaf Manor, Landisville. Born in Farmersville, West Earl Township, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Minnie Nolt Wenger. She was the loving wife of the late Clarence B. Nolt who died in 2012. A homemaker, Naomi helped her husband operate a 72 acre family farm in West Hempfield Township. She was a member of Chestnut Hill Mennonite Church where she was a faithful deacon’s wife for 31 years and a former Sunday school teacher. She also volunteered at the Mount Joy Gift & Thrift. Naomi enjoyed traveling with her husband and they toured 49 States and Canada. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining pastors and groups in their home for meals and overnight guests. Her interests included writing poetry, memorization, playing scrabble and games with family and friends.
Surviving is a daughter, Carolyn N. wife of Ben DeVerter of Smoketown, two sons, C. Lamar husband of Lisa Shertzer Nolt of Lancaster, Frank L. husband of JoAnn Padula Nolt of Lititz, five grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and a sister, Evelyn Landis of Milton. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mabel Moyer and two brothers, Cloyd and Lester Wenger.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Landisville Mennonite Church, 3320 Bowman Road, Landisville on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Salunga Mennonite Cemetery, East Hempfield Township. There will be a public viewing at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
