Montie M. Lewis

Montie M. Lewis, 95, formerly of East Petersburg, died Tuesday January 27, 2015 at Landis Homes, Lititz, where she was a resident for the past 16 years. Born in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar F. and Jessie F. (Dale) Henderson. She was the widow of the late Samuel G. Lewis who died in 1996. A homemaker most of her life, Montie did work as an Avon Representative in the East Petersburg area. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church of East Petersburg, and a member of the Mount Joy American Legion Post 185 Auxiliary. Montie enjoyed painting, and decorating cakes.

Surviving is a son Donald G. husband of Gwen Lewis of Lewistown, PA; a daughter Elaine F. wife of Glenn E. Bricker of Manheim; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-granddaughters. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Judy Lewis, two sisters, and five brothers.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Landis Homes (East Bethany Chapel) 1001 E. Oregon Rd., Lititz, PA on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at East Bethany Chapel on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Graveside service will be held at Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown at 2:30 PM.
