Miriam Wizar, 81, of Lawn, passed into Heaven Friday June 27, 2014 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was the widow of the late Gabriel Wizar who died in 1993. Born in Rapho Twp. Lancaster Co., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mabel (Wenger) Nissley. Miriam was a faithful and dedicated Certified Nurses Aid at the former Mount Hope Church Home in Rapho Twp. for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and traveling with her family, but her grandchildren were the “apple of her eye”.
Surviving is a son Gary L. husband of Bonnie Wizar of Annville; a daughter Cookie wife of Hugh Clinton of Hummelstown; four grandchildren Katie & Hughie Clinton and Alec & Trenton Wizar; and a brother Jacob Nissley of Manheim. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Amos, Harvey and Emerson Nissley, and three sisters Lena Stauffer, Irene Brosey, and Mildred Jordan.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim PA on Wednesday July 2, 2014 at 10:15 AM. Interment following the service will be in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation with the family on Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
