Miriam B. Nolt, 100, of Lititz, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Landis Homes Retirement Community, Lititz. Born in West Hempfield Township, she was the daughter of the late Christian B. and Mabel Brubaker Nolt. Retired in 1977, Miriam was an elementary school teacher in the Hempfield School District for 30 years. She graduated from the former East Hempfield High School, Messiah Junior College and Elizabethtown College. Miriam was an active member of Chestnut Hill Mennonite Church, Columbia and with her parents was involved in local mission churches. She was a bible student, bible teacher, volunteer, writer, mentor and friend.
Surviving are nephews, C. Lamar (Lisa) Nolt and family of Lancaster, Christian B. Nolt and family of Lebanon, Frank L. (JoAnn) Nolt and family of Lititz, a niece, Carolyn N. (Ben) DeVerter and family of Smoketown. She is also survived by Sharon Nolt of Lancaster. Miriam was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Mae Nolt, two brothers, Christian R. and Clarence B. Nolt, a nephew, Calvin Nolt and niece, Mabel Rollins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her graveside service at Salunga Mennonite Cemetery, Stony Battery Road, Salunga on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 9:30 AM with Pastor Joshua Nolt officiating.
