Milton H. Bim Mowrer Jr., 73, of 1000 Woodridge Drive Middletown
died unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 5, 2010. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Milton H. Sr. and Myrtle Witmer Mowrer. Bim was an English Teacher at Northern Lebanon School District for over thirty years. He was a 1954 graduate of the former East Donegal High School and a 1958 graduate of Elizabethtown College. Bim was an active and faithful member of the Middletown First Church of God where he was a Sunday school teacher and was on church council. He enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends.
Surviving are two brothers, Donald W. Mowrer of Elizabethtown and Robert W. husband of Naomi Gerber Mowrer of Marietta; one sister, Marion Spinks of Elizabethtown and three nieces, Amy Hoyer, Leslie Heindel and Jill Beachy. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd W. Joe Mowrer and a brother-in-law, Andy Spinks.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Middletown First Church of God, 245 West High Street, Middletown, PA on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kimberly Shifler officiating. Interment in Mount Joy Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
