Mervin B. King, 83, of Newmanstown, died on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at home. Born in White Horse, he was the son of the late Elam and Miriam (Beiler) King.
Mervin was a mechanic who owned Merv’s Speed Shop, most recently he was a school bus driver for Conestoga Valley School District, and he owned and operated a Shaklee business for 51 years. He also loved flying with the EAA club in Smoketown.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna Sass of Bristol, TN; Audrey wife of Loren Hossler of Newmanstown; three grandchildren Jared King, Kyle Hossler, Kelly Hossler; a great grandson Andrew King; two brothers Dan King of Mount Joy, Mark King of Willow Street; and two sisters Naomi Seachrist of Willow Street and Ruth Beane of Strasburg and other extended family. He was preceded in death by a sister Edna Mathews, and son-in-law Robert Sass.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
