Melvin S. "Jack" Dupler, 80, of Manheim passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Jacob M. and Elsie Shenk Dupler. He was the husband of the late Shirley A. Brown Dupler who died in 2008 and his first wife, the late Marian L. Haldeman Dupler who died in 1986. Jack worked as a lawnmower mechanic at Bomberger's Store, Lititz, (formerly of Elm). Previously, he worked as a truck mechanic and truck driver at the Wolf Motor Company, Lancaster. Jack was a member of Elstonville Sportsmen Association, Manheim. His interests included hunting, woodworking, camping and watching Nascar Racing. Surviving are seven children, M. Donald husband of Marsha Dupler of Mount Joy, Jim L. husband of Cathy Dupler of Lebanon, Doris J. wife of the late Robert Alleman of Manheim, Tim husband of Terry Dupler of Mohnton, Randy Dupler of Harrisburg, Donna L. wife of Kermit Kline of Manheim and Danette L. wife of Tracy Fisher of Mount Joy, a stepdaughter, Barbara J. wife of Glenn Maxwell of Mountville, 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and four sisters, Ruth, Anna Mae, Naomi and Stella. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rhoda and Esther and three brothers, Leroy, Walter and Clyde. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his graveside service at East Fairview Brethren Cemetery, Hossler Road, Manheim on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Please omit flowers.
