Melvin K. "Miffy" Albert

     Melvin K. “Miffy” Albert, 55, of Mount Joy, died unexpectedly on Saturday January 27, 2024.  He was the loving husband of Dianna “Dee” (Hershey) Albert, and they celebrated 7 1/2 years of marriage.  Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Melvin C. and Sandra (Hauck) Albert.  Miffy was a package handler for Fed-Ex ground in Middletown.  He was a member of the former First Presbyterian Church, Mount Joy.  Miffy was a sports fanatic, cheering for the Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Flyers, Hershey Bears, Penn State Football, and the Lancaster Barnstormers, and his fur baby “Duke” was by his side during all the cheering.

     Surviving in addition to his wife “Dee” are three step-sons Devon Lohr, Owen Neese and fiancé Halie Sheppard, Cole Ezzell; 2 step-grandchildren Roman and Colson Neese; and a brother Brian Albert.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-grandson Ryker Neese.

     Services for Melvin will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Melvin’s memory may be sent to Buch Funeral Home, 21 W. Main Street, Mount Joy PA 17552, to help defray expenses.
