Mehabub N. "Boo" Jiwa

 Mehabub N. “Boo” Jiwa, of Manheim passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Uganda, he was the son of the late Modotali N. and Khatoon Virji Jiwa. He was the loving husband of Karen Hartranft Jiwa. Boo retired as a senior software engineer for RR Donnelley – DFS. He was a member of the Germania Band Club, Manheim and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Karen, is a brother: Sabir Jiwa of Duluth, GA and four sisters: Nurjehan wife of Zulfikar Thobani of Kenmore, WA, Nasim wife of Ismail Merchant of Issaquah, WA, Shamim wife of late Nazir Kassam of Maricopa, AZ and Selina wife of Dennis Ashcroft both of Lititz, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Minaz Jiwa.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Boo’s viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon.

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Boo’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
