Meda Mae Hunt

April 7, 1923 — March 23, 2017

Meda Mae Hunt, 93, of Manheim, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Brethren Village. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late John K. and Matilda Buffenmyer Helt. Meda was the loving wife of the late Harold L. Hunt who died in 1996. Retiring in 1991, Meda worked in the cafeteria for the Manheim Auto Auction for 36 years. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim where she served on the Alter Guild and helped with child care at the church. Meda also volunteered at the chapel at Brethren Village. For many years, her passion was to help families caring for their children.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 2:30 PM. There will be a viewing on Monday afternoon from 1:30 PM until the time of service. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Meda’s memory to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Memorial Fund, 2 South Hazel Street, Manheim, PA 17545.
