Mary M. Wenger, 94, formerly of Pine Hill Road Lititz, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 and went home to be with her Lord following a lengthy illness at Fairmount Homes Ephrata.
Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Clayton E. and Anna Martin Myer. Mary worked at Luther Acres Retirement Community Lititz as a nurses aide for twelve years. She was the loving wife of Henry G. Wenger who died in July of 2001. Mary was an active, faithful and lifelong member of the Middle Creek Church Of The Brethren Lititz. She volunteered many hours for Christian Aid Ministries of Ephrata. Mary was passionately dedicated to her family throughout her life.
Surviving is a son, J. Paul husband of Shirley Groff Wenger of Lititz, a daughter, Anna W. wife of B. Robert Charles of Ephrata, a son, Ivan H. husband of Marian Hess Wenger of Beavertown, twelve grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, two sisters: Eva Martin of New Holland, Naomi Smith of Columbia, and a brother, Clair Myer of Manheim. Preceding her in death are two brothers: Stanley Lloyd Myer, a sister, Martha Williams, and three grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service from the Middle Creek Church Of The Brethren 351 Middle Creek Road Lititz on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment is in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Please omit flowers.
