Mary Louise “Weasie” Rineer, 96, formerly of Manheim passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Luther Acres, Lititz. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Oscar K. and Clara Hahn Buch. She was the wife of the late Charles Rineer who died in 1975. Retired in 1989, Louise worked as a secretary for Lift-All Co., Inc., Manheim and in her earlier years she worked at the Manheim Central High School cafeteria. Louise graduated from the former Manheim High School in 1940 and she was a faithful member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim. She was also a member of the Manheim VFW Post 5956 Ladies Auxiliary, United Auxiliary of Lancaster General Hospital and she volunteered at the Nearly-Nu Shop, Manheim. Her interests included cooking, reading, walking and needle work.
Surviving are two children, Charlynn L. wife of Lee Barshinger and Charles B. husband of Pamela Haldeman Rineer both of Manheim, two grandsons, Jason husband of Nissa Rineer and Justin husband of Pamela Rineer, two step grandsons, Steve and Keith Barshinger, four great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and two step great great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Edith Buch; a brother, Draper H. Buch and a sister, Mildred H. Sponsler.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her graveside service at Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Sun Hill Road, Manheim on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Mary’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603 or to a charity of one’s choice.
