Mary J. Haldeman

September 28, 1927 — May 9, 2018

Mary J. Haldeman, 90, formerly of Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Signature Senior Living, Lititz. Born in Penn Township, she was the daughter of the late Harold G. and Kathryn Sheaffer Haldeman. Mary loved working for Wilbur Chocolate Company in Lititz for over 50 years; and her all-time favorite candy was those Wilbur Buds. She was an active and faithful member of Grace Church, Lititz, where she was a member of the Lamp Lighter Sunday school class. For many years she was a volunteer for the Lancaster General Hospital. Her interests included knitting, crocheting, and traveling.

Surviving is a brother, John Haldeman of Schoeneck, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are three sisters: Beatrice Lied, Helen Fisher, Arlene Thompson, and two brothers: Ralph and Harold G. Haldeman Jr.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 216 South Broad Street, Lititz, on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10:30 AM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
