Mary A. Pehlman, 87, formerly of Reading, died peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center, Lititz. Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Mary Mozzoni Traini. Mary worked as a seamstress for the former Cinderella Knitting Mills in Denver. She was the wife of the late Francis R. Pehlman who died in 2000. Mary enjoyed cooking and had a life-long passion for her family; she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters: Gloria A. Hanna of Ephrata, Rose Simonton of Wyomissing, a son, Rodney F. Pehlman of Gilbertsville, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great great granddaughters, a sister, Elvinia Miller of Shippensburg, and a brother, Alfred Traini of Lancaster. Preceding her in death are three sisters and three brothers. Funeral service will be held at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 3:00 PM. There will be a viewing on Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. There will be public interment service at the Berks County Memorial Gardens Route 222 and Evansville Road, Oley, on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 1:00 PM.
