Mary A. Fahnestock

Mary A. Fahnestock, 95, formerly of Willow Street passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Brethren Village. Born in New Providence, she was the daughter of the late Jacob B. and Stella E. Meck Doerr. She was the loving wife of the late James H. Fahnestock who died in 2012. In her earlier years, Mary was a bookkeeper at the Sico Co. and the former Farmers Bank & Trust Co., Lancaster. She was a member of Lancaster Church of the Brethren. Her interests included gardening, crocheting, sewing and jigsaw puzzles.

Surviving is a son, Barry L. husband of Donna Fahnestock of Mifflinburg, a daughter, Judi A. wife of Ralph L. Wise of Lancaster, four grandchildren, Elicia Good, Isaiah Fahnestock, Nicole and Danielle Wise and five great grandchildren, Ty and Weston Fahnestock, Joshua and Nathan Good and Emma Wise. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle Ressler and Verna Lloyd-Mylin.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Avenue, Lancaster on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in East Fairview Brethren Cemetery, Manheim.
