Marti (Martha J.) Gibble, 62, of Ephrata, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 after a long struggle with cancer. She was married to her husband, Alan Gibble for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo L. Weaver and her mother, Susan N. Weaver and her brother, Thomas R. Weaver. In addition to her husband she is survived by an older brother Caleb N. Weaver and his wife Barbara; two sisters, Mary Ann Ibach and her husband Denny, and Miriam Wallen and her husband Roy, and a younger brother, John Weaver and his wife Sandy. Marti came to faith in Christ in her college years. Her greatest desire was that others, like herself, would come to realize that they had nothing good or meritorious in themselves to be worthy of heaven " rather, that they like herself deserved God's eternal condemnation " but that God has secured a way of forgiveness for sins and reconciliation with Him through the person and work of his Son, Jesus Christ. Two passages of Scripture that she wanted to leave with you are: "This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptances, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief." 1 Timothy 1:15 "I know that my Redeemer lives, and in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God. "I myself will see him with my own eyes " I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me." Job 19:25-27 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her committal service at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery, Friday, November 2, 2012 at 3:00 PM.
