Marlin J “Allie” Alleman, 69, of Manheim, passed away October 3, 2024, at home after a tough battle with cancer. Marlin was born on November 19, 1954 in Lancaster and was the son of Mildred A. “Millie” Hoffman Alleman of Manheim and the late Lester R. Alleman. He was the loving husband of Kay L. Evans Alleman, celebrating 42 years of marriage this past March. Marlin graduated from Manheim Central in 1973. He worked at Masonic Village – Plumbing/ Maintenance for 21 years, retiring April 2021. Previously, he worked with his father at Alleman’s Plumbing and Heating including well drilling and house construction for 30 years. 

Marlin enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and spending time in the mountains. He watched Nascar racing – cheering for the late Dale Earnhardt and his son Dale Jr. In his younger years, he was an active member of the Mastersonville Fire Company. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, doing pig roasts and partying. Marlin also enjoyed canning vegetables, meats, making salsa, sausage and bologna, and lots of sauerkraut every year. Marlin was a member of Dela-Ches Fishing Assoc, Elstonville Sportsmen’s Assoc, Germania Band Club, Newmanstown Athletic Assoc, Sons of the American Legion E-town, Union County Sportsmen's Club and NRA.

Surviving in addition to his wife Kay and mother Mildred, are a sister Marilyn K. wife of Rickie Hartranft, brother-in-law, Todd Hollinger both of Manheim, brother-in-law, Mark husband of Marcia Blanck Evans of Lititz, nieces and nephews – Travis (Denise) Hartranft, Tammy (Ryan) Martin, Dylan (Caitlin) Miller and Alex Miller. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda K. “Lynn” Alleman Hollinger. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Marlin’s Funeral Service at Salem United Methodist Church, 140 North Penn Street, Manheim on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Ruhl’s United Methodist Cemetery, Manheim. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Marlin’s memory to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
