Marlene Martin, 60, of Manheim passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. The Lord called his angel home after a two year battle with cancer. Born in Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Emma Redcay Eberly. She was the loving wife of John Z. Martin and they celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in February of this year. A homemaker, Marlene attended Elizabethtown United Zion Church. Her interests included gardening, cooking, baking, sewing and was a loving caregiver to family and many others. She loved to spend time with her family, especially enjoyed playing card games and traveling to the mountains.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Brenda Mae wife of Dave Haines of Lock Haven, Jolene Lynn wife of Ben Trissler of Manheim, two grandchildren, Coral and Rolynn Trissler and a sister, Dolores wife of Leon Weaver of Stevens. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Habecker and Anna Sensenig.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Ephrata United Zion Church, 408 East Fulton Street, Ephrata on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Interment in Memory Gardens, East Cocalico Township. There will be a public viewing at the Ephrata United Zion Church on Sunday from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM and again at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
