Mark W. Geib, 53, of Manheim, died on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at East Hernley Road Manheim. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Norman B. Geib of Manheim, and the late Ruth Witman Geib. Mark worked as a truck mechanic for D.S. (Crystal) Waters in Brownstown and was a partner with his father on the family farm, White Oak Valley Farm in Rapho Township. Previously, Mark worked as an independent truck driver for over 30 years and was owner and operator of White Oak Valley Trucking in Manheim. He was the loving husband of Donna Miller Geib and they would have observed their 28th wedding anniversary this Saturday, September 17th. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Elm and helped to drive the church bus for many years. Mark was a long time member of LANCO Micro-Sprints and in his early years drove micro-sprint cars; in later years he became a crew chief for his wife's racing team Gold Rush Racing. His interests included: snow mobile riding, water skiing, and singing karaoke. He will be missed by his schipperke dog MS. B. Mark was a "Good Samaritan", his life's passion was helping people ; and it was difficult for him to ever say no to those friends, neighbors and strangers who were in need. He had this huge caring heart and was always willing to lend a hand to help anyone. Surviving in addition to his wife are many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Manheim Brethren in Christ Church 54 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Interment is in Graybill's Brethren Cemetery Elm. Friends may visit with the family at the Manheim Brethren in Christ Church on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with additional visitation at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
