Mark A. Tyler, 72, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Emerald Rehab & Healthcare Center, Elizabethtown. Born in York, he was the son of the late Allen P. and Margaret Brown Tyler. He was the loving fiancé of Vicki Smith, Lancaster. Mark worked for BAE Systems, York for 38 years where he was a part of the hazmat and emergency response team. He also was a Rolling Hills bus driver for disabled children. Mark was a Northern York volunteer firefighter and was the first black man to serve two terms on the Northern York City Council. He was a member of the York Rifle Association for 17 years, reaching life membership. Mark enjoyed scuba diving and riding his scooter around PA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving in addition to his fiancé, Vicki, is a son, Samuel Tyler and a granddaughter, Dania.
