Mark H. Hoffer

Mark H. Hoffer, 73, of Manheim, died peacefully at home on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Born in Rapho Township, he was the son of the late Amos H. and Grace Haldeman Hoffer. Mark was the loving husband of Jonna M. Smith Hoffer, and they observed their 41st wedding anniversary on November 12th. For many years Mark was a partner for Hoffer’s Roofing Service, Inc., Manheim. He was a member of Yaweh’s Free Brethren Fellowship, Bethel. Mark enjoyed riding horses and spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Jonna, are two sons: Marc J. husband of Megan Hoffer of Mount Joy, Matthew J. husband of Jessica Hoffer of Myerstown, a daughter, Melodie wife of Ryan Quimby of Manheim, nine grandchildren, a brother, John husband of Shirley Hoffer of Lancaster, a sister, Lois wife of Ronald Long of Manheim and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are two sisters: Jane Merkey, Nancy Krall, and three brothers: J. Clair, Paul, and Nelson Hoffer.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mark’s graveside service in Mount Hope Mennonite Cemetery, 1969 Mastersonville Road, Manheim, (in the village of Mastersonville) on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
