Marian Irene Landis Kreider

January 25, 1935 — April 16, 2011

Marian Irene Landis Kreider 76, of Manheim, passed away unexpectedly on April 16, 2011 at Lancaster General Hospital. Marian was born on January 25, 1935 the daughter of A. Roy and Irene Brubaker Landis in Witmer, PA. She had three siblings: brother Richard (deceased) and his wife Betty Hess Landis of Liberty, sister Velma and her husband Elvin Hess of Strasburg, and sister Verna Landis Fry of Maytown. She was the loving and devoted wife of Noah Kreider Jr.; they would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in June. She was the caring mother of three children: daughter Sharon and husband Chet Beiler of Manheim, son Ron and wife Hollee Hoke Kreider of Manheim, and son Jim Kreider of Franklin, TN. She was a wonderful grandmother to nine grandchildren: Heather and Brianna Marin Beiler; Kyle, Khalee, and Kelli Lyn Kreider; and Molly Kate, Adam, Jacob, and Elizabeth Marian Kreider. Her first great-grandchild, Kaiden, was born to Kyle and his wife Brooke Fabian Kreider this past December. Marian was an extraordinary woman who impacted the lives of all who came in contact with her. Her strong faith in God could be seen through every aspect of her life. She truly lived by example and was a faithful servant of her Lord Jesus Christ until the very end. She was highly involved in serving her community, and she was the Area Representative of the Lancaster Christian Women's Club. She was among the founding members of LCBC Church and has been a strong supporter of many Christian organizations such as Child Evangelism Fellowship, Word of Life, and Lancaster Bible College. Her first job was working as a secretary under George Delp, president of New Holland Machine Company. After getting married, she loved to tell people that her initials spell out the word MILK (Marian Irene Landis Kreider), as if she was meant to be a part of the dairy industry. Since 1954, she has been a life-long contributor to the development of Kreider Farms, and without Marian, it would not be the successful business enterprise it is today. She lived life to the fullest and truly enjoyed the days she spent here on earth. Birds and flowers were among her favorite things. She loved to travel, and her family will always treasure the memories they have of spending time with her at the beach. Her house is filled with personal collections of seashells and nativity scenes from all over the world. She was a dedicated fan of her favorite baseball team, the Phillies. Her hospitality could be seen through all the times she opened her home to serve, cook, and entertain. She lived her life in full dedication to God, and she cared deeply about her husband, her family, and her many friends. Marian was truly an amazing woman who will be greatly missed and forever remembered. Family and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Marian's memorial service at LCBC Church, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 4:30 PM. A time for food and fellowship will be available for all guests after the service. A public viewing will take place at the church on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. All are welcome to attend the interment service, which will take place at the Kreider Family Cemetery, Indian Village Road, Penn Township on Friday morning at 11:00 AM. Contributions in Marian's memory may be sent to: Child Evangelism Fellowship, 5307 Main Street, East Petersburg PA 17520 or Lancaster Bible College, 901 Eden Road, Lancaster PA 17601.
