Marian E. "Pete" Griesemer, 86, of Middletown, died Monday June 6, 2011 at Harrisburg Hospital. She was the widow of the late Richard A. Griesemer who died in 2001. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Ella (Geesey) Billet. She was a devoted homemaker most of her life. She was a member of the Middletown First Church of God. "Pete" was known as a great caramel maker and also enjoyed making ceramics. She also had volunteered at the Middletown Thrift Shop, was instrumental for helping to bring the Giant Food Store to Middletown, and greatly enjoyed various activities with her granddaughter. Surviving is a son Timothy A. husband of Bonnie (Rodkey) of Middletown; two daughters Holly wife of Elwood Fink of Harrisburg, Deborah Gould of Texas; three granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service from the Middletown First Church of God, 245 W. High St., Middletown PA on Friday June 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Middletown Cemetery. There will be a public viewing on Thursday evening at the church from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and also on Friday morning from 10:00A.M. until the time of the service.
