Margaret A. "Peggy" Morrison

            Margaret A. “Peggy” Morrison, 93, formerly of Fletcher, North Carolina, and of the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, PA, died peacefully Thursday, September 14, 2023.  The widow of the late James A. “Jim” Morrison, Peggy was born in Hingham, MA and was the daughter of the late Meredith R. and Hester (Leavitt) Abbey.  A homemaker most of her life, Peggy enjoyed swimming, tennis, golfing, and cheering on the Orioles. After retirement, Peggy volunteered at the North Carolina Arboretum and with Jim visited many far-flung places throughout the American West, The Galapagos, Scotland, New Zealand, and Alaska. Peggy enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family and loved the fun times she shared with her grandkids hiking, playing card games, attending Grandparents’ Day at school, and making their favorite treats.

            Surviving are two sons, James Morrison, Hornell, NY; and Steven A. Morrison (Christi), Simpsonville, SC; three grandchildren, Brooks (Cara), Sam, and Colleen; and a great-granddaughter, Charlotte Maria.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son David and brothers Peter and Philip Abbey.

            Service and interment in Hingham Cemetery will be private.
