Margaret A. Heim

Margaret Heim, 90, of Juniper Village, Mount Joy, formerly of East Petersburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 23, 2023.

Born in Lebanon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clayton H. Light and Margaret Eckert Light Ragguinto. She had been married to her childhood sweetheart, the late Bernard C. Heim for 62 years.

Margaret was a member, church organist and choir director in the Evangelical Congregational Church from the age of 16 until she retired in 2020. She worked at the Manheim Auto Auction for 43 years. She loved going to their mountain property in Huntingdon County with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Jodie L. Sather (Gary), her sons Bernard G. “Ben” (Denise) Heim and Jonathan G. (Adis) Heim; Grandchildren Jayson Heim (Heidi), Eric and Matthew Sather, Austin and Aubree Heim, step grandson Michael Alvarez-Ruiz, great grandsons Alex and Ty Heim; sister Loretta Weddle and half-brother J. Steven Degler. She was predeceased by great grandson Jonathan Mockus-Sather, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Grace E.C. Church, 6067 Carpenter Street, East Petersburg. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service followed by a luncheon.
