Mae Z. Wingenroth, 89, of Lititz, died peacefully on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Moravian Manor. Born in Elizabeth Township, she was the daughter of the late Israel and Annie Steeley Zartman. Mae was the loving wife of the late Leon E. Wingenroth who died in 2000. A devoted mother, Mae loved and cared deeply for her children. For many years Mae worked for several manufacturing companies in the Ephrata and Lititz area. In her early years she and her daughter Joyce were active members of the Dutchland Polkateers. Her interests included: reading, going out to eat, shopping, watching and rooting for her favorite teams, the Phillies, and Eagles. Mae loved to travel, and made several trips to Germany, Alaska, as well as every state in the U.S.A. She also loved Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and going to Hollywood Casino. Throughout the years Mae adored her dogs.
Surviving are two daughters: Joyce E. Wingenroth, a resident of Gardens of Stevens, Judy L. wife of David Morrison of Lititz, a grandson, Scott husband of Chelsea Althouse of Lititz, three step grandchildren: Tiffany wife of Geno Eastman of Dayton, OH., Ray husband of Randi Morrison of Lititz, Megan wife of Joe Eastman of Lake Stevens, WA., and twelve step great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are four sisters, and one brother.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Warwick Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Mae’s memory to: Moravian Manor Retirement Community Benevolent Care Fund, 300 West Orange Street, Lititz, PA 17543.
