Mae V. Hartman, 87, of Manheim, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Manor Care Health Services Elizabethtown. Born in Doyles Mills, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Shaffer Claybaugh. In 1983 Mae retired from the former Raymark Industries Manheim where she was employed in the shipping department for over 35 years. She was the loving wife of the late Lawrence Hartman who died in 1984. Mae was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church Manheim. Throughout her life Mae had a passion for cleaning her home. Surviving are two sons: J. Richard husband of Ruth Hartman of Manheim, Ronald D. Hartman, a daughter, Lois F. wife of Jay S. Nohrenhold of Manheim, a daughter-in-law Patricia Hartman of Manheim, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, a brother, Richard husband of Joan Claybaugh of Waycross, GA., four sisters: Ethel Rowe of York, Ann Imes of Harrisburg, Jean wife of Marlin Worley of Lewistown, Shirley Brouse of Sunbury, and a sister-in-law, Ruth Claybaugh of Cornwall. Preceding her in death is a son, Frederick E. Hartman Sr., three grandchildren: Alan, Karen, Benjamin, one great grandson, Alex, four brothers: William, George, Carl, James, and a sister, Alma Gingrich. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Interment is in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Rapho Township. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
