Mae H. Grube, 93, of Lititz, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Signature Senior Living, Lititz. Born in Warwick Township, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Sally Habecker Ober. Mae was the loving wife of the late Donald E. Grube Sr. who died in April of 1999. She retired from the former Schreiber’s Company, Lititz. Mae was a life-long active and faithful member of Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill. She enjoyed spending time at the extended family cabin called “Bear Mountain Camp” in Tioga County. Her interests included: cooking, vegetable gardening, and canning. Throughout her life her passion was her family; and she treasured her time that she could spend with her children, and grandchildren. She was a kind and caring grandma that her grandchildren and great grandchildren loved and adored.
Surviving is a daughter, Virginia L. “Ginny” wife of Regis Stumpf of Lititz, a son, Donald E. Jr. husband of Judy Grube of Lititz, four grandchildren: Angela, Kristina, Todd, Sheree, eight great grandchildren, and a sister, Maude Ulrich of East Petersburg. Preceding her in death were three sisters: Dorothy Kissinger, Marie Garner, Irene Balmer, and two brothers: Richard and Ray Ober.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mae’s memorial service at the Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill, 26 Owl Hill Road, Lititz, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private at Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Rothsville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Mae’s memory to: Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill Building Fund, 26 Owl Hill Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
