Madeline R. Tshudy

Madeline R. Tshudy, 93, formerly of Manheim, died peacefully on January 8, 2025 at Providence Place Senior Living, Lancaster. She was the loving wife of Herbert R. Tshudy, and they would have been married 69 years in February. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mildred (Reinert) Royer. Madeline was a homemaker most of her working life, but did work as a clerk for the former District Justice Marilyn E. Stoner for 5 years. She was raised by her grandparents Ellsworth & Elizabeth Reinert, and was proud to live in the home where she was born in Manheim. Her hobbies included cooking and traveling. Madeline was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Mount Joy.

 Surviving in addition to her husband Herb are two sons, Michael, husband of Jennie Tshudy, Mount Joy, Mark Tshudy, Willow Street; two grandchildren, Matthew Tshudy and Becky Akers; and a brother Rodney Royer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Ronald Royer.

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday January 24, 2025 at 11:30 AM. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Madeline’s memory may be sent to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 27 East Main Street, Mount Joy PA 17552 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 of st.jude.org/memorial.
