Lydia M. Stoltzfus, 80, of Manheim, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, June 18, 2018. Born in Gordonville, she was the daughter of the late Solomon H. and Katie Peachey King. Lydia was the loving wife of Reuben Z. Stoltzfus and they observed their 60th wedding anniversary in November of last year. She was an active and faithful member of Grace Brethren Church of Manheim. For many years Lydia volunteered at the Lancaster General Hospital, Women and Babies Hospital, and the Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Community. Her interests included crafts, working with plastic canvas, camping, collecting angels, and dining out.
Surviving in addition to her husband Reuben, are four daughters: Katie K. Buggy of Elizabethtown, Elsie B. Albright of Lititz, Barbara K. wife of Marlin Seiders of Manheim, Mary Ann wife of Tom Wolf of Lititz, two sons, Solomon K. husband of Joy Stoltzfus, David K. husband of Sandy Stoltzfus all of Manheim, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and a sister, Elsie Barbara Stoltzfus of Fort Mill, S.C. Preceding her in death is a grandson, David Stoltzfus Jr. and two sons-in-law, Patrick R. Buggy and Michael A. Albright.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Lydia’s funeral service at the Grace Brethren Church of Manheim, 333 East High Street, Manheim, on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:30 AM. with Reverend Jeffrey L. Dunkle officiating. There will be a viewing at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 AM till the time of the service. Interment will be in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery.
