Lucy Jane Bentzel

Lucy Jane Bentzel, 92, formerly of Manheim, died Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Community, Rapho Twp. She was the widow of Roy E. Bentzel who died in 1995. Born in York County, she was the daughter of the late Leander R. Sr. and Dora (Jacobs) Miller. She was a homemaker most of her life, but worked at the Manheim Auto Auction for over 20 years. Lucy was a member of the White Oak Church of the Brethren, Manheim. One of her favorite past times was flower gardening.
Surviving is a son Dale E. husband of Lydiann (Zook) Bentzel of Bird-in-Hand; a daughter Beth Marie Bentzel of Lancaster; 2 grandsons Christopher husband of Kelly Bentzel and Michael Bentzel, and a great granddaughter Sarah; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Jane Hudson, five brothers Richard, Ralph, Daniel, Austin, and Leander R. Jr. Miller; and three sisters Anna Markey, Ruth Wildasin, and Margaret Yohe.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service from the White Oak Church of the Brethren, 1211 N. Penryn Road, Manheim PA on Wednesday January 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Longeneckers Brethren Cemetery, Warwick Twp. There will be a public viewing on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Buch Funeral Home, Manheim is in charge of arrangements.
