Lois M. Conley

     Lois M. Conley, 90, of Mount Joy, formerly of Elizabethtown, died peacefully, Wednesday February 14, 2024 at Harmony at Hershey.  She was the loving wife of Robert O. Conley and they celebrated 62 years of marriage this past September.  Born in Elizabethtown she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Mary (Krissinger) Goodling. Lois is an Army veteran serving with the WAC. Lois was a retired auditor of the United States Federal Civil Service.  She was an active member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Elizabethtown.  Lois and her husband had an active life and she enjoyed fly fishing for salmon in Alaska, was a snow skiing instructor in Colorado, and enjoyed skiing into her late 70's at various places in the United States and Europe. She was also an avid golfer into her late 80's and enjoyed bowling.

     Lois was one of 14 children.  Surviving in addition to her husband are three brothers Charles, Albert and Jim (Bonnie) Goodling, all of Elizabethtown, and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers Alton, Ken, Paul, Harry, David, and 5 sisters Reba Leonard, Arline Kuhn, Isla Long, Velva Boylan, and infant sister Helen.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 398 N. Locust Street, Elizabethtown, on Thursday February 29, 2023 at 10:30 AM.  There will be a time of viewing and visitation on Thursday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Live streaming of service available at www.wearesaintpauls.com. Interment with military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lois’ memory may be sent to Gentiva hospice, 205 Grandview Ave. #304, Camp Hill PA 17011.
