Lois A. Clugston

August 29, 1939 — January 9, 2011

Lois A. Clugston, 71, of Mount Joy, and formerly of 598 Doe Run Road, Lititz, died peacefully on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Penn Township, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Ollie C. and Gaynelle Orndorff Hevener. For over thirty years Lois worked in health care at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. She was the loving wife of Merle E. Clugston and they observed their 50th wedding anniversary in September of last year. Lois was a member of the Lititz Church Of The Brerthren. She enjoyed traveling and taking care of her Westie Terrier named Tucker. Loiss life long passion was her family; and she loved being involved with her children and great grandchildren throughout her life.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are two sons: Randy L. husband of Marti A. Brenneman Clugston of Millersville, Chris K. Clugston fiance of Katina Simmons of Mount Joy, a daughter, Heather L. wife of Matthew L. Weidman of Manheim, seven grandchildren: Tiffanie, Jennifer, Caleb, Whitney, Riley, Addison, Gabriel, six great grandchildren: Berklee, Chloe, Layne, Chase, Logan, Olive, a brother, Donald husband of Doris Hevener of Lititz, two sisters: Mary wife of Wayne Mast of Milroy, and Carol Hevener of Lititz. Preceding her in death is a brother, Samuel Hevener.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service from the Lititz Church Of The Brethren, 300 West Orange Street, Lititz, on Saturday morning, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Stephen R, Hess officiating. Interment will be private in East Fairview Church Of The Brethren Cemetery, Rapho Township. There will be a viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be no viewing on Saturday morning. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday morning immediately following the memorial service.
