Logan T. Crills, 18, of Manheim, died peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, following a courageous 4-year battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma. Born in Lancaster, he was the beloved son of Warren K. and Lora Taylor Crills of Manheim. Logan was employed part-time at Stauffers of Kissel Hill, Lititz. He was a senior at Manheim Central High School; played varsity soccer and was a member of the ski club. He participated in mission trips throughout the years with his home church, Grace Brethren Church of Manheim. Logan had a personal relationship with God, which was demonstrated by his actions and relationships with others. At the age of four Logan began playing soccer as a member of the Manheim Area Soccer Club. He participated on the travel team Manheim Mutiny, and played from the age of thirteen till present with PA Classics. Logan was a Lancaster Lebanon Soccer League All-Star for the past two years. He loved riding his motorcycle and downhill skiing. Logan was a member of the Milton Grove Sportsmen’s Club and enjoyed hunting and fly-fishing. He will be missed by Duke, his Boxer.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a brother, Ethan T. Crills of Manheim, paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Betty Crills of Manheim, maternal grandmother, Vivian R. Taylor of Montoursville, paternal uncle, David husband of Sadie Crills of Lancaster, maternal uncle, Thomas IV husband of Debra Taylor of Williamsport. Preceding him in death is a maternal grandfather, Thomas Taylor III.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Logan’s Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving at the Manheim Brethren In Christ Church, 54 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Jeffrey L. Dunkle officiating. There will be a viewing at the church on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
