Lloyd F. Swinehart, 86, of North Main Street Manheim died peacefully on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Chester and Pauline Leaman Swinehart. Lloyd worked for the PA Malleable Company Lancaster and the Fuller Company Manheim. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the loving husband of the late Edna M. Kulp Swinehart who died in 1998. Lloyd was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are two daughters: Pauline F. Devonshire, Christine K. wife of William G. Wint all of Lancaster, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two brothers: Robert Swinehart of New Providence, John Swinehart of Lancaster, and two sisters: Martha Long of Lancaster and Ruth Quimby of Barboursville, WV. Preceding him in death was a son, Stephen M. Swinehart, and three brothers: Richard, Raymond and Paul Swinehart.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service from the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square Manheim on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment is in Manheim Fairview Cemetery Penn Township. Friends may visit with the family on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
