Lloyd E. Weidman Lloyd E. Weidman, 88, of 10 Franklin Circle Lancaster died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 following a lengthy illness.
Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late Harvey Weidman and Lizzie Eckert Herr.
Lloyd served in the United States Army Medical Corps during W.W.II where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Lloyd retired from the former RCA Corporation Lancaster where he worked for thirty-three years. He was the husband of Evelyn M. Leister Weidman who died in August of last year. Lloyd was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd Lancaster. Lloyds interests included: hunting, bowling in the RCA Mens Bowling League and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Surviving is a son, Greg Weidman, a daughter, Dawn Dee-Dee Weidman, a daughter-in-law, Kelly Lynes Weidman all of Lancaster and a grandson, Corey Weidman fiance of Megan Turcotte of Lititz. Preceding him in death were brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service from the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd 750 Greenfield Road Lancaster on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 10:00AM with the Reverend Mark L. Russell officiating. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville. There will be a public viewing at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
