Lillie A. E. Zellers

Lillie A. E. Zellers, 91, of 320 Spruce Street Lykens, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Moravian Manor, Lititz. Born in Wiconisco, she was the daughter of the late William W. and Estella A. E. Esterline Dietrich. She was married 54 years to the late John A. Zellers who died in 1989. Lillie retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Bureau of Motor Vehicles. She graduated from the former Wiconisco High School, class of 1936. Lillie faithfully attended the First Baptist Church, Lykens. She was a volunteer aide at the Upper Dauphin Elementary School for many years. Lillie was a fifty-year member of The Glen Chapter, No. 425, Order of the Eastern Star, Lykens. She served as Worthy Matron in 1956-57 and remained active in her Chapter until her death. Lillie served on many committees and always helped the officers in charge. She was also active at the State level in Eastern Star, having served as Grand Representative of Tennessee and held numerous committee appointments over the years for the Grand Chapter of Pennsylvania.


Surviving is a daughter, Jacqueline R. wife of Dr. Lewis E. Jury of Manheim; a grandson, Lon K. Jury of Manheim; three great grandchildren, Logan M., Erin M. and Kaylin H. Jury of Manheim. She was preceded in death by eight brothers, Eugene, George, William, Aaron, Eric, Robert, Holden, Harold Dietrich and three sisters, Bessie Troxell, Edna Thompson and Carrie Usuka.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the First Baptist Church, 700 Main Street, Lykens, PA on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Carl Slough and Reverend Grace Shirk officiating. Music prelude will begin at 10:30 AM followed by an Order of Eastern Star Service at 10:45 AM. Interment in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco. Friends may visit with the family after the Interment Service at Kevins Place, 105 Main Street Lykens where a luncheon will be served.
