Lewis R. Craven

Lewis R. Craven, 69, formerly of Bainbridge passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Masonic Village Health Care Center, Elizabethtown. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Bertram and Harriett Rosser Craven. He was the husband of Sue Mumma Craven and they would have celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary next month. Lewis retired as the owner of Craven Services, Bainbridge where he supplied X-Ray, Chiropractic and Veterinary equipment. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam War. A 32nd degree Mason, Lewis was a member of the Prince Edwin Spring Creek Lodge No. 486 F&AM, Hershey, Harrisburg Consistory, Middletown Moose #410, B.P.O.E. #578, Carlisle, Bainbridge American Legion Post 197 and the Ocean City New Jersey Beach Patrol Alumni.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, David N. husband of Kathy Craven of North Whales, Jeffrey Craven of Springfield, New Jersey, Theodore Craven of Spring City; a daughter, Cynthia A. wife of Sean Quinn of West Chester; a stepson, David Howard of Bainbridge; five granddaughters and three step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Lewis R. Craven Jr. and a brother, Bertram Craven.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Memorial Service at the Masonic Village, John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, One Masonic Drive Elizabethtown, PA on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 3:30 PM with Pastor Gary S. George officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
