Leslie C. Evans

 Leslie C. Evans, 68, of Manheim, died peacefully on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Ephrata Manor. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late R. Douglas and E. Joan Earhart Evans. Leslie was a 1973 graduate of Manheim Central High School, and continued her education receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Millersville University, and a Nursing Degree from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia. With a life-long career in health care as a Registered Nurse; Leslie worked for Jefferson Hospital, Lancaster General Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Visiting Nurses Association Hospice, and as a supervising nurse at the Mennonite Home, Lancaster. Leslie provided quality personal care to every patient she was honored to help. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim. Her interests included passionately rooting for her Philadelphia Phillies, being an avid reader, and loving her rescue Dalmatian Dogs: Mookie, Jackson, and Patches. She loved spending time at her favorite beach visiting Ocracoke, North Carolina. Above all her heart was for her family and friends. Leslie deeply loved, and cherished every minute she could to be with those family and friends that were a big part of her life. She will be truly missed for her devotion, love, and her genuine kindness to everyone she came in contact with. 

 Surviving are two brothers: Jonathan D. husband of Pamela J. Evans of Manheim, Curtis D. Evans of Mechanicsburg, two nieces: Aidan and Jennifer Evans, two nephews: J. C. and Griffin Evans, two grandnieces: Josie Marie and Sadie Leigh Evans, and a grandnephew, Wesley Robert Evans. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Leslie’s Celebration of Life Service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 10:30 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Leslie’s memory to Manheim Community Library, 15 East High Street, Manheim, PA 17545.
