Leon E. Witmer
March 7, 1958 — January 3, 2015
Leon E. Witmer, 56, of Pine Grove, and formerly of Lancaster County, died peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2015. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Harold F. and Naomi Mumma Witmer of Manheim. In his early years Leon worked on the family farm in Schuylkill County. He was a member of Roedersville Mennonite Church, Pine Grove. Leon’s interests included riding motorcycles and horses.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers: Harold Jr. husband of Nancy Witmer of Elizabethtown, James Witmer of Pine Grove, and a sister, Rachel wife of Jay Hilsher of Manheim. Leon is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Leon’s funeral service in the Lobby at the East Petersburg Mennonite Church, 6279 Main Street, East Petersburg, on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
