Lavina S. Miller, of Manheim entered into her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 8, 2014. Born in Morgantown, she was the daughter of the late Aaron M. and Elizabeth Beiler Stoltzfus. She was the loving wife of the late Ray E. Miller who died in 2008. Lavina worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for twenty five years at the former St. Joseph Hospital, Lancaster. She also worked as a nurse for five years at Moravian Manor, Lititz. Following her nursing retirement in 2000, Lavina worked part time at the Manheim Auto Auction in food services until May of 2008. She was a member of Lebanon Valley Bible Church and attended Manheim Brethren In Christ Church. Lavina enjoyed Southern Gospel Music; especially at Garden Spot Promotions Southern Gospel concerts. She also enjoyed camping, traveling, cooking, reading, flower gardening and cross-stitching. Lavina was known for her kindness and willing to help others. She was a loving and caring aunt to her nieces and nephews; always following their various interests and careers.
Surviving are two brothers, Jonathan Z. husband of Mabel Stoltzfus and Melvin A. Stoltzfus both of Morgantown, a sister, Rebecca B. wife of Mervin W. Stoltzfus of Gap, stepdaughter, Donna wife of John Emsweiler of Bainbridge, step granddaughter, Nicole wife of Samuel Eshelman of Willow Street, step great grandchild, Corein John Eshelman and twelve nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by stepson, Galen Miller, two brothers, Omar B. and John M. Stoltzfus, two sisters-in-law, Annie and Esther Stoltzfus,brother-in-law, Ben Stoltzfus, niece, Lavina Stoltzfus and nephew, Brian Lee Stoltzfus.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at Manheim Brethren In Christ Church, 54 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. Friends may visit with the family at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim today from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday at the church immediately following the service.
